Hot News: Fiat Boss: 'Now for an Opel Deal.'

Fiat’s boss Sergio Marchionne has confirmed that the car maker now wants to set up an alliance with Opel, following its tie-in with Chrysler.
Fiat and Chrysler today announced that they are joining forces, with the Italian brand initially taking a 20 per cent stake in the US manufacturer.

Speaking to Fiat-owned publication La Stampa, Marchionne said that an alliance with GM’s German subsidiary Opel was his next goal.
"Now we have to concentrate on Opel. They are our perfect partner," he said.
Fiat has competition for Opel from Austrian-Canadian firm Magna International, and if the German brand leaves GM then it is possible Vauxhall could be sold with it.
